In 2019, husband-and-wife team Billy and Sondra Yates took a leap of faith and founded Vinyl Plank 4 Less with one simple mission: to offer high-quality flooring at a fair price, delivered with the kind of friendly, dependable service you’d expect from your neighbors.

Billy, a former State Farm agent, brought business savvy and a strong customer-first philosophy. Sondra, a longtime educator, infused the company with heart, patience, and a commitment to helping people feel informed and confident in their decisions. Together, they combined their strengths to create a locally owned, community-driven business rooted in trust, hard work, and a genuine passion for people.

What started in a modest 900 sq. ft. showroom in Mobile, Alabama, quickly expanded with a second location in Spanish Fort—a clear sign of their commitment to growth and service. They also went on to open a location in Milton, Florida, which they later entrusted to their talented install manager, Justin Patrick. Today, Justin continues to lead that store to success, and the teams across locations work closely together to uphold the same standards of quality and care.

From your first visit to long after your floors are installed, Billy and Sondra are devoted to helping you create a space that feels like home. Their hands-on approach, personalized service, and attention to detail make every project feel special.

And no visit is complete without a warm welcome from Penny the Pup, the shop’s beloved customer greeter, who brings a wagging tail and cheerful spirit to everyone who walks through the door.

A lifelong resident of Baldwin County, Alabama, Bobby Rabon brings deep local roots and decades of management experience to his role at Vinyl Plank 4 Less. After attending the University of Montevallo, Bobby dedicated over 20 years to the healthcare industry, serving as Manager of Materials Management and Environmental Services in a hospital setting—a role that honed his skills in logistics, organization, and customer-focused operations.

In March 2022, Bobby joined the Vinyl Plank 4 Less team, where he quickly became an integral part of the business. His day-to-day work with professional flooring installers over the past four years has equipped him with practical, hands-on knowledge of luxury vinyl tile (LVT) installation. To further deepen his expertise, he recently completed a week-long flooring installer’s course in Nashville, TN, with a specialized focus on vinyl plank flooring.

Bobby’s favorite part of any day is simple yet powerful:

Priscila Williams, one of our Inside & Outside Sales Representatives. A Bay Minette native, she loves living on the Gulf Coast and is passionate about helping customers find the perfect flooring and cabinets for their homes.

She can also assist with our Room Visualizer tool, provide a detailed quote for materials and labor, and make sure all your needs are met from start to finish.

With an extensive background in new builds and remodels, Courtney Jeffcott brings a wealth of experience to her role as an interior designer and product specialist at Vinyl Plank For Less. Her expertise in working with contractors and independent homeowners, combined with her ongoing industry education, allows her to guide clients toward selecting the perfect flooring and cabinetry solutions for any project.

Courtney’s passion lies not only in building strong connections with her clients but also in helping them create spaces that resonate for years to come. She takes pride in ensuring that every design choice enhances both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of a home. Whether you’re embarking on a renovation or a new construction, Courtney is dedicated to making the selection process seamless and enjoyable.
